MEET OUR AUTHORS & DESIGNERS
Our wonderful authors have a special connection to the country they are writing about. Each of them has lived in and/or were born in the country they are writing about. As such, we hope we are presenting an authentic view of the day in the life of children across the globe.
Meet our authors:

Cress Sia is the author of our Philippines story, "The Bamboo Dance".
Cress grew up in the Philippines but spent a few years in the United
States for some high school and college education. She is a pharmacist
by day and a creative writer by night. She lives with her family in Cebu
Philippines.

Bonita Jewel Hele is the author of our India story, "Adventures That Lead to Home". From a young age, Bonita knew that she wanted to
make a positive impact in the lives of others. After graduating from high
school at 14 years old, she joined a mission base in southern California. At
the age of 16, she moved to India. She has been there for 11 years, involved in
social causes, such as youth counseling, working with the Deaf, and the
underprivileged. Bonita’s husband is from Chennai, and they have three young
children, whom Bonita educates at home.
Bonita has always held a passion for writing. Lately, her
hot topics have been: parenting and children, children’s stories, motivation
and character development…and India! She has traveled through 16 of the 27
states in India and lived in six of them. Bonita also enjoys writing about her
many experiences as a mother, home educator, counselor and coach. Her perspectives
are unique, inspiring, and full of spirit.
